You didn't ask for it, but I don't care. I wanted to share this experience, and I am sure some of you would want to see this:
At my high school, we have a tradition of doing to dances to finish off the formal part of prom: Les Lanciers and Mayfair. Where Les Lanciers is very formal and is danced by the royal family at balls, Mayfair is much more fast-paced and light - and it's fun!
The quality isn't the best and it cuts off very suddenly at the end. While it doesn't cut off much, it's still a sad. It finished with all of the flourish you'd expect, but... mom stopped the video a little too early. :/ Oh well, I'm still glad she recorded it ^_^
Enjoy!

Well, it's been awhile...
Long time no see, you guys :D
Decided to combine my usual Christmas-greeting with an update on how life has been going.
Long story short... it's been very busy. I don't know how I survived it, but I did. Starting up my minor-study at university, working on my Bachelor-project, starting live alone and being independent much more than I've ever done before... it's been wild. But! I am proud to announce that I did, indeed, pass my project I ended up getting a B for my paper on whitewashing. How I did it, I'll never know. Take it from Queen Procrastination - DON'T DO IT. I barely survived, but somehow I did.

My VERY early morning...
So, I had a bit of an interesting morning...
I woke up around 4-4:30am today, because I heard my mom talking to someone quite loudly. At that point I was still half-way asleep, so my guess at what was happening was between it being either a dream, or why mom was on the phone at 4 in the morning. But as I got more awake, I realized something was completely wrong.
As the hider that I am, I stayed upstairs and listened, but it turned out that there was a young man at our door in need of help. He told us he'd been at a party and now had no way of getting home - said home is in the next town, 15 kilometers away. The eaeliest bus would come at 8a

This is so cool! It looks like it's a lot of fun. It's also really neat that the parents and families are there and involved.
I wish that we had something more like this.
Prom here is very different. No actually dancing like this, it's more club music that no one actually dances to. Kids hate when their parents are there or really involved at all. And so many kids actually go to hotels afterwards to have sex. It's sad because usually the /parents/ rent the room for them. It's gotten bad enough where schools give lists of kids and their parents names to the hotels in the area around prom time so that they can't deny any rooms.
And this isn't even the surface of what all is so different.
